Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year I will be hitting the streets of Portsmouth to run 10 miles in the Great South Run on 23rd October 2016. 12 weeks of training will see me running with over 15,000 runners on the day.
The Ollie Young Foundation was set up in loving memory of Ollie Young, a young lad who lost his fight against a brain tumour just short of his 6th Birthday.
Ollie's family and friends set up the Ollie Young Foundation to raise funds for vital research into children's brain tumours. Raising awareness and funding vital research towards finding prevention or cures; and providing hope to children and their families affected by brain tumours.
Brain tumours are the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in children, yet receive only a small fraction of the national cancer spend.
The Ollie Young Foundation have raised and provided the funds to support the research at the University of Portsmouth, and directly funded my PhD study.
I will be running the Great South Run to raise funds and say thank you to the Ollie Young Foundation for their support of my research.
