The UK charity Dentaid links in with the established New Zealand charity One-2-One in Cambodia who do dental and medical work. The Cambodia Tooth angel project brings desperately needed basic dental treatment to the most vulnerable and destitute people in Cambodia, these include orphans ,children and adolescents living on the streets, people with HIV,slum-dwellers and prisoners. A regular prison service has been set up. Within these there may be women with young children as carers outside may not be available. Mobile dental set ups are used in slums and provincial communities where visits will be up to one week. Dentaid among many activites has designed a Rotary Dentaid box; a large 'package' that gets shipped world wide. Literally a large wheelie bin containing all the key requistes of equipment, such as mobile suction, and consumables to enable a dental professional to deliver, in any locality in the world, basic oral health care and emergency treatment to those in need.
