Story

D-day...thanks for all your support guys!!!

Hi guys...7 days 2 go, 7 squash clubs, 7 matches, 7 opponents...all in 7 hours...hopefully I'll B 7 match fit. X

Thanks for your support guys...34% towards my target already...just 4 weeks to go!

Hi Folks,

I must say thank you so much because if you're reading this then I'm hoping you are about to donate!!

It's that time of year again when I like to challenge myself to raise much needed funds for charity in my mum's memory..

As most of you are aware I lost my mum in May 2006 after a battle with Amyloidosis.

I am raising money for UCL Amyloidosis Research Fund which researches into the different strains of Amyloidosis and possible treatments.

To raise this money, on Sunday 5th May, over the course of 7 hours, I will be cycling around seven local squash clubs and playing a game of squash.

Starting at Coventry & North Warwickshire Cricket & Squash Club, moving onto Virgin Active Health Club, then across to Warwick University, around to Kenilworth Tennis, Squash & Croquet Club, up into Leamington Lawn Tennis & Squash Club, then to Warwick Boat Club and finally to LA Fitness in Warwick, where I will take a much deserved shower!  The total mileage cycled will be around 35 miles plus seven games of squash :-)

There is a significance in the number seven, it is nearly 7 years since we lost our mother and 7 years until the next Olympics in which squash could be part of if the 2020 bid is successful.  So 7 squash clubs, 7 squash games in 7 hours...with a team of 7 people to be my opponents...the magnificent 7!!!

I hope you will see the benefits of donating to UCL Amyloidosis Research Fund and will give as you see fit.  All donations are GREATLY appreciated and THANK YOU so much to you all for the support.

Thank you to Mike Vaughan Cycles in Kenilworth and all the squash clubs and coaches for their sponsorship and support.

Thank you also to my friends and family for supporting us over the last seven years.

Thanks again, Alison xXx
