In September 2015 I lost my beloved husband, Keith to throat cancer.  His passing left a huge gap, not only in my life and his family, but the lives of his many friends.

Keith lived life to the full.  There was never a time when had nothing to do.  He got everywhere, knew everyone and did everything.

He was at his happiest outdoors up the hills, down by the waterside, walking and watching nature.

Keith also played football all his life, from 30-a-side games as an 8 year old, through to amateur games in the Edinburgh leagues to his Friday night 5-a-sides.  Not only did he enjoy playing football but could be found on a Saturday afternoon shouting "encouragement" from the stands of his beloved Heart of Midlothian FC.

About the only thing Keith disliked was negativity and, apart from his legendary pessimism about Heart's chances, he was positive to the end and told us not to mourn but celebrate his life and make the best of our own.

Which is why his brother, Scott and I have decided to challenge ourselves and walk the Affric Kintail Way to raise money for the Throat Cancer Foundation with Keith's other brother, Craig acting as our support man!

The Affric Kintail Way is approximately 48 miles long and crosses some of the most beautiful but remote countryside in Scotland.  Scott and I are hoping to walk the trail over 4 days from Drumnadochit at the end of Loch Ness to Morvich on the west coast. 

We would be delight if you could help us raise money for Throat Cancer Foundation to help people, who like Keith, are suffering from this cancer and give them and their families some comfort and hope.
