Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. My wife Laura was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the end of January 2013. The consultants,doctors and nurses at The Royal Marsden have been so supportive and helpful in every way. We are determined to beat this horrible disease. Everywhere I turn cancer is there and it is only through research and development of new drugs that the battle can be won. The Royal Marsden Charity funds research into cancer which helps accurate diagnosis which in turn helps identify the right treatment.

I decided to run the Coniston 14 half marathon in the Lake District on 23rd March with my good friend Graeme Hunter to raise some money in support of The Royal Marsden Charity.  Sadly the UK weather beat us and the race has had to be postponed until 12th October this year. Good call as they had 12 inches of snow the night before. We found a shorter alternative of 8.2 miles (14 kilometres) around Kingston and Hampton Court Palace on 24th March plus 10k runs in Regents Park and Richmond's Kew Gardens so I'll complete over 34miles not 14 in the end!!! More training but it is the least I can do to thank them for being there for us all at this time.
