HEY GUYS!

So as many of you already know, this summer I'm venturing off to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in Africa for five weeks with a project called Warwick in Africa. The aim of the Warwick in Africa project is to transform the teaching of Mathematics and English in a number of schools in South Africa, Tanzania and Ghana. And seeing as you all know how much I LOVE my Mathematics (*ahem ahem*) I'm going to attempt to share my knowledge with the students at Azania Boys' School. 

Now as my AMAZING friends and family, I kind of need all of you to help! The schools involved in the project have few resources, with classrooms often having insufficient furniture to seat the 40-50 students in each class. The project supports 17 schools in total across South Africa, Tanzania and Ghana. We want to help raise as much money as possible to buy blackboards, text books, pens, chalk, etc.

The scheme is having a transformational effect on the attendance, performance, aspiration and motivation of pupils & teachers in African secondary schools as well as students, academics and donors at Warwick. More than 6500 learners per year are receiving a boost in how they are taught and over 90 teachers have benefitted from discovering new teaching skills and methodologies.

Please guys, unfortunately not everyone is lucky enough to have access to good education and resources. By giving just a little bit, we can all help change that :)
