Story

To celebrate Alice turning 5 we have our 5 marathon challenge this October!

Alice is turning 5 on 25th November, so to celebrate her memory and try to continue to help raise funds for Friends of Serenity we have set up another challenge in October so we can announce the grand total raised on Alice’s 5th Birthday.

The challenge is 5 marathons in October! Or 131 miles to run or walk.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Whether you are taking part in the challenge or sponsoring, your time and donations mean so much to us. We cannot believe where 5 years have gone and really hope we can celebrate Alice and raise vital funds for Friends of Serenity, supporting families who have suffered baby loss.

Thank you and good luck!

RCN 1157866
Friends of Serenity aims to preserve and protect the health of sick pregnant women and those who have suffered a miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death in particular but not exclusively by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities, Serenity Suites and equipment at East Lancashire Women and New Born Centre not normally provided by the statutory authorities. We work hard to support newly bereaved parents through the provision of memory boxes and miscarriage keepsakes. By dressing their babies we hope to make distressing and devastating time a little more comforting by taking the pressure off them. These are provided in East Lancashire and throughout the country on public requirement. Additionally, we strive to provide qualified information by any means appropriate on the 2nd most common chromosome disorder Trisomy 13.
