In 2012 i was diagnosed with terminal cancer. As i was diagnosed in FORTH VALLEY HOSPITAL they basically had me beat and had no hope for me with the exact words from the consultant "its only a matter of time IT will get you" this turned my life upside down in 5 secs my 1st though was how do i tell my 10yr old son he is my life and pride and joy !!  plus we had just found out my wife was pregnant !!.

As my details where discussed at one of their meeting a consultant at the BEATSONS said he would take me on, well it's coming up 2 years now and don't get me wrong i have been to hell and back on a few occasions, iv'e took every thing they have offered me and i'm now on a clinical trial which is also very tuff going ! this disease is just as tuff mentally as it is physically but i'm still standing and doing ok plus my daughter is now 8 month old.

What i'm trying to say is without this hospital this would have been a different story so this is why iv'e decided i'm setting a target for 5k for this fantastic hospital.
