What are we doing? The event is a testing navigational, orienteering and observation skills, with on and off road sections - depending on conditions, and endurance by day and night (described by some as an extreme treasure hunt). 

 

We start from Craven Arms on Thursday lunchtime and end at Chester Sunday afternoon and in between?? Who knows?? We are given the instructions on the start line and have to work it out from there.

 

And to the never ending amusement of my wife, regardless of the weather we will be camping.

 

Why are we doing it, for all the same reasons as last year, Sean does not run marathons but Alun does, we are not silly enough to jump out of or off things and the cause of Macmillan cancer relief is unquestionably right. Everybody knows somebody who has suffered from Cancer so it’s really a case of why not?
