Hi everyone, I have chosen to run for a UK based charity called Shaw Trust. They are focused on employment services for people with a disability or at disadvantage in the UK. It is such an amazing charity where it encourages, supports and empowers people to lead more self-reliant and rewarding lives, enabling their families, communities and businesses to support them.

The reason this charity appeals to me is that I firmly believe we need to give people with a disability or disadvantage a chance to overcome the obstacles of everyday work and independence. Everyone at sometime in their life will need support, Shaw Trust is here to help – that alone should be a reason to dig deep and a good reason to give up a little cash, and make yourself feel good that you have helped those in a less advantageous place than you are right now.

This will also be a massive personal achievement for me to complete my first ever Marathon before I am 40, a total of 4 days after the Marathon ;-)
