Amelie is running 2025 Edinburgh Half Marathon for Sibs-for brothers and sisters

Amélie Bankes is raising money for Sibs

EMF Half Marathon 2025 · 25 May 2025 ·

Sibs is the only UK charity representing the needs of siblings of disabled people. Siblings have a lifelong need for information. They often experience social and emotional isolation and have to cope with difficult situations in their families. Sibs provides support, training and information.

Story

This year, I'm running a half marathon to raise money for SIBS, a charity that supports siblings of disabled children.

Having grown up with a younger sister with cerebral palsy, this is a cause that is incredibly close to my heart. Being a sibling of someone with additional needs comes with so many unique challenges and complexities. SIBS provides vital support, ensuring that siblings like me and many others feel heard and understood.

If you can, please donate—every contribution makes a huge difference!

Thank you so much for your support! 💙🏃‍♀️
