Amal Patel - Uganda 2021

Play Action International Adventure Try-Athlon · 12 July 2021 ·
Next summer I will be heading out to Uganda to assist with transforming an empty field at a local school into an exciting new playground leaving a legacy for children to learn and develop essential life skills and nurture their physical, psychological and social development. I will also be taking on a huge adventure challenge consisting of kayaking and rafting down the River Nile, biking past Sipi Falls, and climbing 4,321m to the summit of Mount Elgon all to raise money for Play Action International!
Play Action International have a mission to ignite every disadvantaged child’s potential through the power of play. In many communities across the world, play is not seen as a priority, despite it being one of the fundamental rights of a child. By increasing access to play and education, the charity supports the long-term health, well-being and employment prospects of children, empowering them to map their own paths to brighter futures. Play gives children their childhoods back, and I believe that every child, everywhere, deserves to enjoy the benefits of play.
Please be aware that 100% of your donations will go towards Play Action International and I will be funding my own expenses for the trip.
