My sister Claire died of breast cancer two years ago and last year I lost my close friend Margaret to the same disease. I decided that I needed to take on a challenge and raise money to aid research to prevent more women dying of breast cancer. I signed up for the 2015/16 Round the World Clipper Race - bi annual Round the World Sailing Race made up of 12 boats crewed by amateur sailors with a professional skipper, the whole race takes 11 months over 8 legs. I am doing the second leg in October from Rio to Cape Town. I would be so grateful if you would support the research that Breakthrough Breast Cancer are doing.
