Story

In 2018, I ran the London Marathon with Team OCA, for Kerry, who had Ovarian Cancer.  Through your amazing support, I managed to raise well over my target and reached £2700, thank you!!

Together, the London Marathon 2018 Team OCA, raised a total amount of £62,360.83! This was enough to fund a Post-Doctorate Researcher at the Ovarian Cancer Action Research Centre in Hammersmith for 12 months.

Last September, my daughter Jemima & I visited the OCA Research Centre at Hammersmith Hospital & met with some of the Research Scientists/learnt about some of their current work. It was clear that although funding (through charities) into Ovarian Cancer is so very recent, there are continual & significant breakthroughs. This is exciting!

APRIL 2019: I am running the Paris Marathon on 14/04/2019 and will take Kerry with me in my heart.

Although I am not running for a charity per se, I have chosen to run in my Ovarian Cancer Action running vest in memory of Kerry & to also use this as an opportunity to highlight the vital work of OCA.
The amazing OCA Research Scientists at Hammersmith Hospital are continually working towards the Holy Grail - a screening tool - for Ovarian Cancer.

If you would like to donate, any small amount, please do. Further, if you would like to sponsor a particular mile - I will write your name on my arm and your can come along for the 26.2 too! (I promise, it's a lovely day out! Ha).
