I am fundraising on behalf of the Berkeley Foundation
I am running the London 2012 Marathon to raise money for The Lord’s Taverners
The Berkeley Foundation is designed to improve the lives of young people, their families and communities. Our strategic focus is on supporting young people in London and the South-East, particularly those not in education, employment or training. We believe there is a direct connection between their fortunes and the success of the places and communities in which Berkeley works. We seek to work with organisations that can model new ways of supporting young people, as well as funding projects and services that have already proved their worth.
The Lord's Taverners is the official charity of recreational cricket and the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports charity. Sport and recreation are essential for young people and the charity's mission is to give 'a sporting chance' to those in need. It achieves this by focusing on youth cricket in disadvantaged areas and sports and recreational equipment for young people with disabilities and special needs, including sports wheelchairs, specially adapted minibuses and sensory play areas.
