Story

We are running in memory of Martyn's mum, Pauline, who most of you will know lost her very short and brave fight with pancreatic cancer last July. Mum was taken ill in January 2017, diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the February and sadly passed away on 7th July 2017. During mum's illness we tried to keep her spirits up and I would text her saying "we're coming to see you tonight so get your trainers on, we're going for a run!" Mum's quick witted response to one of these texts was "Not sure I can manage a marathon tonight, think we'll just do the half."

So that's when I signed us up, me, Amie, Joe and Katie, for the Sleaford half marathon on Sunday 6th May 2018, in memory of a wonderful woman, who is loved and missed dearly.
