Story
On the second of September I have been lucky enough to be
selected to walk across the new Queensferry crossing which I am so excited
about.
I know that this is something that my Dad, Bob Smith would
have loved to have done but sadly he is no longer with us. Instead I would like
to complete the walk in his memory and at the same time raise some money for a
worthy cause in his name.
As a young man Dad was exposed to asbestos poisoning, which
sadly contributed to his illness later in life, and ultimately took him from us
far too soon. Asbestos Action Tayside is a charity close to my heart. They
supported both Dad and my Mum throughout his illness and they also look to help
many other families and support them through difficult times. I know this would
make my Dad proud one last time knowing that you are helping me raise money for
such a worthy cause.
For those of you who knew my Dad he was the life and soul of
any gathering and loved life. He was always positive regardless of how ill he
got, and I know he will be smiling down on us when we cross the forth in
September.
Every little helps so thanks for taking time to read this
and if you can, I know the charity would really appreciate the support.
