After being diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2017 I discovered Maggies Manchester. The minute you walk through the doors into Maggies you feel at home.

Everyone is welcome. All the smiling faces help you relax straight away.  It's as if you are in someones house not across the road from all the sadness at the Chirstie. It is a lovely place to visit if you are waiting for blood results or just feel you need a safe happy space to visit if you are feeling down.

There is lots of help and advice available to you  at a time when you find it really difficult to think straight.  There are lots of daily activities available during the week to help you relax and take your mind off things and help you relax such as yoga or crafts. Maggies are always there if you need someone to talk to and listen to.  You are always welcomed with  a friendly smile with cake, biscuits, fruit, a cup of tea or coffee on offer. My mum found it very comforting whilst waiting for me to finish radiotherapy. Even my little dog Teddy was welcome!! 

They are run on donations no government money so I am so honoured to have been chosen to walk down the runway with all the other models to raise money for such a fantastic organisation!
