Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

I was 19 years old and studying psychology at university, when I had multiple strokes. I had to have part of my skull removed to relieve the pressure on my brain,  and awoke not able to speak, move, swallow etc. Nearly 4 years later I have lost my right side and have Aphasia but am able to walk with the aid of a splint and I go to the gym daily. I am in my 3rd year at college studying art and design.
I am now a media volunteer for the Stroke Association, raising awareness that it is not only older people who suffer with stroke.
I have decided to do a skydive on 24th August to raise money for the Stroke Association.
