For years I've been saying I want to do a skydive and have finally plucked up the courage to overcome my crippling fear of heights and book it in aid of this wonderful charity. 

The Romanian Rescue Appeal is a charity close to my heart made up of a dedicated team of U.K based volunteers, all working together not only to rescue injured, starving and homeless dogs in Romania from a life of suffering on the streets and death in the barbaric public kill shelters, but to treat, vaccinate and rehome these dogs in the UK to give them the quality of life and freedom from suffering that they deserve. 

In Romania, it's a legal requirement to cull a dog if it is not rehomed within 14 days of admittance into public shelters due to the surplus number of strays in the capital Bucharest. Although there is much international uproar against this law, thousands of dogs are culled every year simply because they are seen as vermin and cause economic difficulty in an already economically weak country.

Despite their amazing work in finding loving homes for more than 1000 dogs since the start of 2014, they are a relatively small charity and don't receive huge donations unlike many big name charities. Their vet bills alone amount to over £21,000 per year, without regards to costs of feeding, accommodating and transporting the dogs out of Romania.

Also any spare pants donations will be appreciated as I'm sure I'll go through quite a few pairs on the day!
