We preserve coastal rainforest in Ecuador to safeguard human and wildlife well-being

Story

Hello, I'm Amelia Welborn, and I'm a 7th-grade student in Maine. I love nature and I also love helping animals and their ecosystems and really want other people to start helping too. My goal is to raise a minimum of $1400 to help the Third Millennium Alliance land purchase funds. That will allow for two acres of rainforest to be saved from development.

This project can help save one of the most bio diverse places in the world from becoming a construction site. Sitting between the wettest rainforest in the world, the choco, and the driest desert, the Atacama, the Pacific Ecuador Rainforest is a crucial part of the world and needs to be protected with more and more of it being destroyed for roads, towns, and city’s.

I plan to help Third Millennium Alliance with their mission of safeguarding the coastal rainforest in Ecuador for the health and well-being of human and wildlife communities.

About the charity

Working in one of the most biodiverse yet threatened ecosystems on the planet, Third Millennium Alliance (TMA) works with local communities to protect and restore the last remnants of rainforest in coastal Ecuador for the health and well-being of human and wildlife communities.
