Amelie's 3 Mile Rollerskate for War Child · 26 June 2015

War Child is striving for a world in which no child's life is torn apart by war. We protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children living in war zones across the world. Your support today will help us reach even more children in need.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am rollerskating 5 miles with my Mum to raise money for the kids who don't have any parents or have lost their houses.  Please may you put money in here for us to send to them.

I am selling all of my toys as well because the children in war don't even have toys.  I will give the charity the money from my toys and then the charity can buy some new toys for them.- Amelie

After I explained to Amelie that people can get sponsored to do something brave or hard work to raise money for less fortunate people in the World, she decided that she wanted to do it.  However, whenI explained that children were not allowed to skydive, she had to come up with something else. "I could jump out of a moving car" she said. NOoo. "I could climb a building?" NOoo. "I could walk all the way to the shops and back ON MY OWN!" I don't think that will do it Amelie.  Eventually she decided to join me for the first 5 miles of my stake to Bath and back.  For those of you who don't know, she is 6 years old - Mum
