10 years ago on the first of April I lost my mum to cancer. Growing up I spent more time than a child should in the hospital or surrounded by doctors/nurses. Her death had such a large toll on me and my family's life, it really did change us and made us stronger and closer as a unit.My mum was my best friend and will always be my biggest inspiration. Nobody can ever take the space in my heart that belonged to her,I strive to make her proud everyday. I remember when she was ill and started losing her hair it was such a big deal for her and she was so brave about it and shaved it off so she felt she had control of it. This is why I am shaving my hair.
