Aberdeen Refurbishment Project · 10 April 2014

The Aberdeen Mosque and Islamic Centre was founded some 25 years ago. Its focus is to cater for Muslims in Aberdeen and surrounding regions. The population of Muslims in the region has grown significantly and as such one of our main focuses is to establish a Islamic Centre to serve their needs.

Story

As Salamu Alaykum,

For many years the Muslim community of Aberdeen has struggled for space during prayer time. Although the mosque comprises of three houses space is still limited, the refurbishment project will include removing walls to create more space. Longer lines will be made so more people can pray inside also a new carpet will be fitted. A new wudu area will be installed and ready to use before Ramadan. A new maghsal (funeral services) will be made to prepare a body for funerals.

Alhamdulillah the work has already started and we have collected more than half the money. Your donation will help speed up the process, your support is very important because ONLY with YOUR DONATION it will be possible to finish the new refurbishment project.

It is also narrated that the Prophet (sallahu alayhi wasalim) said: “Whoever build a mosque for Allah – be it large or small – Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
[Sunan al-Tirmidhi]

“The one who guides to something good has a reward similar to that of its doer.” [Muslim]
