Story
As-Salam Alaykum dear friends, we hope this message finds you in the best of health and Iman.
As most of you will be aware that our beloved friend and brother in Islam Amin Sakur sadly passed away on Sunday the 7th of January after a long battle with Cancer. He was only 29 years old.
We know from our texts in the hadith that the deceased can benefit from charity given on his or her behalf, which includes a waqf of a Mus-haf etc, or digging a well, building a mosque or planting a tree, whether he or she does that during their lifetime or it is done by someone else on their behalf after their death
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allaah, even if it is like the nest of a sand grouse, Allaah will build for him a house in Paradise.” The hadeeth gives an example of building the smallest thing possible. (Ahmad)
So taking all of this into account a group of his friends from Dundee have decided that they will try to raise £16,000 with your help for a mosque to be built in Sierra Leone through Ummah Welfare Trust on behalf of Amin which will aptly be named Masjid Amin.
We request you all to give whatever is within your means to help us achieve this target so Amin has an on going charity (Sadaqa Jariya) where people will pray, children will learn, the Quran will be recited and many more good deeds which will all be credited to Amin's afterlife currency as well as the people of the chosen city to benefit from having a Masjid.
If you're unable to give anything now then please make Duaa for our brother and share this link with your friends as this has no price attached but is priceless in value.
Cash donations can be handed to Raheel, Samir or Hafiz Iftikhar.
On behalf of Amin Sakur's friends.
