After 10 years I have decided to do the GNR again in aid of a fantastic charity - Smart Works Newcastle. I joined the charity as a Trustee nearly two years ago and have been part of an amazing group of women who helped to set up Smart Works Newcastle.

The charity helps women gain the skills and confidence needed to succeed at job interview and to make a positive change to their lives. We do this by offering women a two hour appointment - the first hour being a dressing appointment where each women receives a complete outfit of high quality interview clothing which they can keep and the second hour a personal coaching session with interview training.

This model has proven to be a great success and has made a huge improvement to many women's lives. In the first year of opening Smart Works Newcastle saw nearly 300 women and 70% of them went on to get the job.
