Me and my fiancee have set up a foundaion called 'the james milner foundation' raising money for the nspcc, help for heroes and leukemia in aid of Aston Villa football Stilian Petrov who unfortunately was diagnosed with the illness earlier this year, please see our website thejamesmilnerfoundation.com

We are organising a 'winter wonderland ball' which will take place on sunday 16th December this year at Event City in manchester to raise vital funds for the charities.

But as our first fundraiser I have decided to run in the Birmingham half marathon on sunday 21st October 2012. This is the 3rd half marathon I will be running in and in 2010 I completed the london marathon. I am hoping to complete the half marathon this year in under 2 hrs (last year it took me 2 hrs 2 secs) so hopefully I will do a personal best time!!
