Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

decided to set myself a fitness challenge for 2023. Whilst not the 54 mile hike I did for the Caledonian challenge I decided the Edinburgh 7 summit challenge was apt 12 years on. And I’ve managed to rope in two like-minded/crazy mates - Linda & Julia along for the journey.

The challenge is a 35km trek that includes 900m of ascent and the summit of Edinburgh’s 7 hills that surrounded the city. This links gives more information -https://www.charitychallenge.com/expedition/3630/The-Edinburgh-7-Summits-Challenge.

I have chose to fundraise for the Act Against Bullying charity. The increase in child suicides and self harm due to cypher bullying and other forms of bullying is appalling and really hits home for me. Act Against Bullying matters and we need to raise awareness, provide support and stop all forms of bullying for all people. This charity’s mission is to be able to provide young people with practical advice if they are being bullied.

Please donate any amount you can to help allow this charity to continue:

1. promoting peaceful solutions to abuse.

2.  Campaigning to influence policy, advising victims, teachers and parents.

3. Building pro-social media support.

Thank you
