Young Epilepsy is dedicated to standing up for children and young people with epilepsy. We’re here for them. But we need your support because epilepsy is limiting the chances of thousands of children today and may continue to do so for the rest of their lives. Together we create possible.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I created this page for my daughter…….

UPDATE :- 2016
Amy continues with her mission of raising awareness for 'YOUNG EPILEPSY'.

This time 1 year ago Amy was 12 years old dealing with and managing her focal epilepsy well; seizures were small although becoming more frequent. Amy started out on her mission to raise awareness about epilepsy. In her words "I want to help those who suffer more than me".

As her mum, what feels like a cruel twist of fate, Amy now suffers much larger, Tonic Clonic seizures which in themselves are far more serious. Amy is in the process of finding a medication that works best for her in controlling her seizures but she still drives forward in wanting everyone to know about epilepsy. AWARENESS IS THE KEY.

PLEASE JOIN US AGAIN ON 'PURPLE DAY' 26TH MARCH & WEAR SOMETHING PURPLE. If you can make a donation then fantistic - if not, no worries every photo uploaded is raising awareness to so, so, so many people.

Purple Day aims to raise both funds and epilepsy awareness. We really want you to get involved and have loads of fun.

THANK YOU.
2015

I am 13 years old and was diagnosed with focal epilepsy when I was 2.  I found out about 'Purple Day' 2 years ago (2014) and loved the idea of raising awareness of Young Epilepsy.  Although I have epilepsy mine is not as bad as many others.  I want to help those who suffer so much more than me.

I have spoken to my class and in assemblies at school.  It is important to let people know Epilepsy does not make me a different person, I just might need their help if i am having a seizure.

I WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Raising awareness is very important to me but if you are also kind enough to make a donation then THANK YOU very much.
