- In the UK, 1 in 4 children are growing up in poverty.
-47% of children to lone parents are in poverty.
-70% of children in poverty are in working families.
- There are currently 4.1 million children living in poverty in the UK. That's 30% of children - or 9 in a classroom of 30. This figure is expected to rise to 5.2 million by 2022. 
- 43 per cent of children in inner London and 34 per cent of children in outer London are living in relative poverty, after you take housing costs into account.

It's unacceptable - and the child poverty action group is one of the most prominant UK charities working on both frontline practical help as well as responsible long-term policy changes to tackle the systemic causes of poverty.
