We help children with disabilities to achieve their potential

Story

Welcome to my JustGiving page for the Chartis UK London to Paris cycle ride. We will be cycling a distance of 180 miles over 3 days so I've already been out and bought my padded shorts!

All funds raised will be going to Brainwave. Since 1982, Brainwave has worked with families to deliver individual home based therapy and exercise programmes that help children with disabilities and developmental delay to achieve their potential. They are an independent charity that receives no government funding so they rely entirely on donations to deliver their work. They work with children with a range of disabilties such as Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome, Developmental Delay and Autism. It is not unusual for children to have difficulties in a number of areas, and there are families with children that don't have a diagnosis. The Programme is based on the theory of neuroplasticity. It aims to help the brain find new pathways in the ‘neural network’ by providing regular repetition of newly acquired skills. The Programme can cover physical, educational and social abilities.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
