In October, my cousin and I will be attempting to trek to Everest Base Camp as part of an organised holiday with KE Adventure.  We are funding the trip ourselves, but I wanted to raise money for Community Action Nepal so that I can give a donation back to the community.  100% of the money that is raised through this Just Giving page will be going to Community Action Nepal.

Community Action Nepal is a UK based charity whose aim is to help the mountain people of Nepal.  Their Kathmandu office and Nepali staff make their projects happen on the ground.  Community Action Nepal works in partnership with mountain villages and communities to provide local health, education, income generation, cultural and mountain porter welfare facilities.

I decided to raise money for Community Action Nepal as they aim to help some of the poorest people on the planet - the mountain people of Nepal.   The mountain people of Nepal's middle hills make up the bulk of the porter work force, who have enabled so many people to enjoy the Himalaya, but who so often receive very little in return.
