Why am I running for WERF?

June 2010 - I learnt how to spell ENDOMETRIOSIS. I also learnt that I am one of the 176 million women worldwide who have to deal with the challenges of endometriosis during the prime years of their lives.

The diagnosis takes 7 years on average. Having to battle debilitating symptoms daily prevents millions of women from fulfilling their dreams of finishing an education, maintaining a career, having children - and sometimes maintaining relationships. Just because of a mysterious abnormal spread of endometrial-like cells contaminating other organs...

WERF's vision is a day when no woman is crippled by endometriosis nor prevented by the disease from having children.

I will be running for World Endometriosis Research Foundation. Because all women are WERF it.
