Story

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit my page. On September 1st I will cycle 90 miles (145km!) around London together with the PEACH-All-Star team to raise money for PEACH. More info about this charity can be found here: http://www.peach.org.uk/

PEACH has been a great support to me over the years working as an Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) tutor and therefore I am very pleased and motivated to ride the 2012 Olympic route and raise funds so that they can continue their fabulous work with children.

It is with a big smile on my face :) that I have now started training with my fellow team members twice a week. Once during the week at 5.45am in the morning to work on speed and every Sunday for a longer ride to increase endurance. Toks is the training coordinator and is incredibly good at encouraging us all. He is very serious about our rides! When I commented on the lovely country side, he pointed out that I had the wrong idea: I was supposed to ride and not "peddle". Lol! Thanks to his encouragement we have reached speedes of 22 mph, got to the top of Box Hill and are getting fitter by the week! Toks even got me a proper road bike called "Maria" decorated with yellow flowers.

Regular updates and pictures will follow as we ride around London and into the Surrey countryside in the weeks and months to come.

Many thanks for your generous donations and if any of you want to sign up to ride with us, there still are places left :) http://www.discoveradventure.com/challenge.aspx?t=242
