Someone just asked me what I’d like for my birthday - the answer is NOTHING but your company, hugs and joy of friendship...

However, for those who feel moved to and/or can afford to, I have set up a chosen charity for donation. It is MENCAP, Southend, to whom I owe a debt of gratitude I can never repay...

They have bought so much joy to my daughter and helped her so much in so many ways I really don’t know where to start. What they do, completely on voluntary basis for children and young adults with a vast range of learning and often physical disabilities is simply humbling to see and report on...

They are the angels some of us aspire to be...
They exist only via our donations so if you feel able to (and a single pound coin is fine) please donate what you can and know that that will give me more joy than any birthday present...
