London Bikeathon 2013 · 15 September 2013 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Well we did it!!

We were very lucky with the weather as it started out sunny and only rained hard for about 10 mins 15 miles from the finish.

The hills never really bothered us, the worst part was the traffic out through Richmond, and inwards from Wimbledon. The Park was shut for an International Triathlon which caused grid lock in the area. Also another International Triathlon in Central / Hyde Park area, along with us 8000 cyclists was never going to be easy.

The finish sent us all the way up Kings Road  Chelsea, it's nice to outsprint Ferraris and Lambos over 20 yards.

Anyway 7hrs 20mins riding time - alot of concentrating due to traffic and other less experienced cyclists shall we say, all made for a fruitful experience. Thanks again for all your support!
