We provide research and support to help children with brain conditions

Story

My niece Amy was born prematurely eleven years ago and unfortunately suffered a bleed on her brain. Prognosis has always been uncertain but Amy is now a happy and energetic eleven year old who lives life to the full!

I have been running (not professionally!) for about twenty years now and I have done three half marathons in the last seven years. I wanted to put my hobby to good use and use my plodding skills to raise money and awareness for a charity that is very dear to my heart.

Cerebra has been a tremendous help and support to my family over the years. It is a national charity dedicated to supporting the families and children coping with neurological disorders. They raise money for research and support and have helped countless families through very difficult times.

This is why I have decided to raise money for this charity. I have wanted to do a full marathon for a while now and raising any sort of funds for Cerebra is my inspiration to power through. I don't have a set goal in mind (time and money wise!) but would love to raise as much money as possible for this incredible charity! Please give as much as you can and thank you for taking the time to look at my page! If you click on the link to the right you will find out more information about the charity and more so than raising money I would really like to help raise awareness as well!
