Story
Hi, I am running the Carver Wolverhampton City Half Marthon on th 2nd sept 2012 for the Haemophilia Socitey. I have 2 very special boys called Cameron 6 and Lennon 4 both with a rare bleeding disorder called Haemeophilia. There is no family history of Haemeophilia, so to be told as new parents that our 8 month old son had Hameophilia was very much a big shock! We were told that Cameron had Sereve Haemophilia A and will need to be put on treatment to help clot his blood with the missing factor 8. Cameron started on regular treatment to help his blood clot when he was 9 months old trying to help him with less bruising. In 2009 we were blessed with another special boy Lennon (we were told if we were to have another boy it will be 50/50 weather or not Lennon would have Haemeophilia) Lennon started on treatment when he was 10 month old and in 2011 Lennon had a very serious gut bleed and we nealy lost him. Thankfully treatment has come such a long way Lennon was given treatment he needed and after a week in hospital we were allowed home. The Haemophilia Socitey has given us so much information, help and great belife that our boys will have a very "normal" happy life. The socitey have helped so many people over many years and I am running to say THANK YOU to them.
