Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Below is a little bit about me and why I run.
My Dad used to say that I could accomplish anything I set my mind to, but it is his belief what has driven me to actually reach all my goals so far. His love, teachings and his honest belief in me is his biggest legacy for me. Today I have been given the opportunity not only to run for myself and for my Dad, but to actually make a great difference, with your aid, in the life of many orphaned and/or abused young girls.
I was fortunate enough to have a Mom and Dad who taught me to believe in myself and become the happy woman I am today. Many of these girls do not know that feeling, which is key to their development. Together we can help these girls to believe in themselves, show them the love that develops a young heart into a loving strong happy woman.
Santa María Foundation has built a strong team and network to provide girls in need with the help they need. The foundation has already set up two school where girls in need have access to the right nutrition, education and, more importantly, the light and happiness they may not know; a place where, in their own words, they feel they belong and feel loved. All of this thanks to Lady Rodriguez and Peter Mowloand, who have made Santa Maria Foundation a reality.
Please help me bring this dream and this amazing project, which has given so much back, one step forward in helping girls in need. Please help me run one more kilometre in their name, in my Dad's name and for myself.

Gracias por tomarte el tiempo de visitar mi página de JustGiving. Aquí podrás leer un poco sobre mí y sobre lo que me motiva a correr.
Mi Papá me decía que yo siempre logró todo lo que me propongo, pero fue justamente la fé que siempre tuvo en mí la que me llevó a alcanzar mis metas hasta ahora. Su amor, sus enseñanzas y su fé en mí fue el mejor legado que me pudo haber dejado. Hoy se me ha dado la oportunidad no solo de correr por mí, por mi Papá, sino también por la posibilidad de hacer, con ayuda tuya, una gran diferencia en la vida de muchas niñas huérfanas y/o que sufrieron algún abuso.
Me considero muy afortunada en tener una Mamá y un Papá que me enseñaron a creer en mí misma y convertirme en la mujer que soy el día de hoy. Muchas de estas niñas nunca han conocido la sensación de creer en sí mismas, algo que es clave para su desarrollo en esta etapa tan crucial de sus vidas. Juntos podemos ayudar a que las niñas que ayuda Santa María Foundation tengan confianza en sí mismas, mostrarles el amor que un corazón joven requiere para convertirse en mujeres amorosas, fuertes y felices.
Santa María Foundation ha construido un fuerte equipo y una red extensa para proveerles a estas niñas la ayuda que necesitan. La Fundación ya ha logrado establecer dos exitosas escuelas donde las niñas tienen acceso a una nutrición adecuada, educación y sobretodo, la luz y felicidad que quizás antes no habían conocido; un lugar al que, en sus propias palabras, sienten que pertenecen, se sienten amadas. Todo esto ha sido gracias a Lady Rodríguez and Peter Mowloand, quienes han hecho a Santa Maria Foundation una realidad.
Por favor ayúdame a llevar este sueño y este increíble proyecto, que ya ha dado tanto, un paso más en ayudar a niñas que requieren de su ayuda. Por favor ayúdenme a correr un kilómetro más en nombre de Santa María Foundation, en memoria de mi Papá y por mí.
