Since 1956, experienced HCPT volunteers have taken 1,000s of disabled and disadvantaged children and adults on life changing pilgrimage holidays to the shrine of Lourdes in France. We are of all faiths and none. Thank you for your support.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page in memory of our dearly loved and wonderful son, Andrew Scriven.

Sadly, Andrew passed away on 2nd December 2016, just a couple of weeks after his 23rd birthday.

Andrew was a bright, thoughtful and very caring person.  One of the ways in which Andrew displayed his caring nature was his wholehearted support to  the Hosanna House and Children's Pilgrimage Trust (HCPT) community.  Andrew travelled several times as a helper, caring for disabled children, to enable them to experience a pilgrimage holiday to Lourdes.  We have fond memories of Andrew's passion and how he found the experience hard work and challenging but extremely rewarding.  Andrew was only 16 when he took his first trip as a HCPT helper and was hoping to make his own pilgrimage to Lourdes in the spring.

Andrew was always a compassionate and kind individual who brought out the best in everyone he met and gave his time selflessly for others. The HCPT gave Andrew the opportunity to help others and in his memory we would like to continue to support this very worthy charity.

The family ask that in place of flowers that you please make a contribution to HCPT.  The money raised will help to fund disabled and disadvantaged children travelling to Lourdes next Easter with the York based HCPT Group 122.

Thank you for your love and support, from Bill, Catherine, Sarah-Jane, Kirsten, and Mike Scriven.
