As a lot of you know, last year my Dad (Brian Moreton) sadly passed away. 

Brian was diagnosed with melanoma a few years ago. Melanoma is now the fifth most common cancer in the UK, accounting for 4% of all new cancer cases. 

This year over the 8^th & 9^th of June I will be completing the Three Peaks challenge starting off in Scotland with Ben Nevis on the evening of the 8^th and then finishing up at Mount Snowdon in Wales on the 9^th June. My aim is to raise money for the Melanoma Fund to help this charity raise awareness for the prevention of skin cancer. 

The Melanoma Fund’s campaigns provide tailored sun protection resources, helping groups and individuals raise awareness of sun protection within their specific sector. 

The date of the challenge coincides with when it would have been Brian’s 68^th birthday. Certainly too young an age to no longer not be with us. I hope that you can support me by donating to the fund to raise awareness for skin cancer.
