Some of you know I do open water swimming from time to time but this is a really big challenge for me - like doing a marathon or more.

As some also know Sam, my wife, lived with Crohn's disease for over 20 years with unstinting positiveness and good humour. She is an inspiration. Crohn's has no known cause but results in a lot of suffering. I thought about this hard but feel that if I am going to train for and take part in the challenge, then I should let a worthy cause benefit from it. Crohn's and Colitis UK need a lot of support and I hope to raise some money for them. Thanks for anything that you are able to give.
