Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Children who are eligible for overnight `Respite Services` often have to travel long distances to their nearest facility. This places them at a great advantage as these sick children do not travel well and therefore often become extremely distressed. Parents tell us that although they are desperate for a break it just isn`t practical, often feeling that it is just not worth causing their children further distress so often stay at home with them becoming increasingly exhausted themselves.
Willows lull support the whole family including the `sick child’s siblings. It a well-documented fact that these siblings often feel left out and can then show signs of mental health issues form a very early age - becoming withdrawn and often failing at school.
The disabled sick children we work with have all been identified as having a life-limiting conditions with many of them never reaching their teenage years due to the seriousness of their many differing conditions. Children who do reach adulthood will always need 24/7 care and never be able to live an independent life.

We currently have 5 Bedrooms ready and available but with a lift installed we can increased this to 12 Rooms.

The cost of a lift is approx £30,000 so every pound helps.
