Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Dean & I have decided that we wanted to do the 60 mile bike ride as a personal challenge to us and thought what better way to do this than to also raise money for Macclesfield hospital children's ward.

Macclesfield children's ward facilities such as the toys, books & entertainment is solely down to donations. These were such a good distraction to my little boy after two separate visits. These kept him entertained when he was so ill and all the children loved the escape of the play room. Overtime toys, books & iPad's become outdated and tired after so much use. We'd like to raise money to help the ward buy some new equipment to keep this comforting & friendly ward at tip top condition (how Andy & Dean would like their bodies after this bike ride :)

We would ideally like to raise enough money to buy the ward a new iPad with all the latest apps on, a few more personal TV's & DVD players so people who are in bed have entertainment and a fresh box of toys, books & puzzles. Also, not forgetting the tired & anxious mums and dads out there! we would like to keep the donations for the kitchen facilities running for a few months to help buy the tea, coffee, milk and a few cheeky snacks.

Myself & Dean will be writing a blog to keep you all updated on how our training is going and for those that want to come a see us cross the very sweaty finish line , we will post all location details a little nearer the time.

No matter how small the donation, every penny really does make a huge difference to this ward and to the children & parents who use this facility.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
