At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hi guys

On the 15th of May I'll be running 10k at the Great Manchester Run.

I've decided to run for the Alzheimer's Society and hope to raise £250 for this charity which is dedicated to improving the lives of people afffected by dementia.

Dementia is a devastating illness that is increasingly affecting more people. Those who suffer from it experience memory loss, confusion and problems with speech and understanding. It can be so severe that they can't even recognise family members, even the ones who are heavily involved in caring for them.

The Alzheimer's Society help in giving support to those who suffer from dementia, invest in research to help prevent the progression of the disease and provide training to improve the care for sufferers.

Any donation you could give would be greatly appreciated and would be going to a charity which does so much to help those affected by this condition.

Cheers!
