Water Event · 3 March 2014

We are a youth-driven organisation supporting a global movement of young people to take action. We exist to ignite youth-led action to create solutions to the world’s most urgent problems. We support young people by connecting them with the skills, networks, platforms and experiences to lead change.

Story

15 brave Googlers, with me alongside them, are heading to a remote village in Tanzania in April 2014 for a 15-day volunteering project co-organized with Raleigh International. The village is in the Karatu District, Arusha Region with limited infrastructure and access to water, and high risk of exposure to disease.

The key aim of the trip is to install a gravity water distribution system. We will camp in the village itself, with the intention of fully engaging with the locals to ensure they understand how to use and maintain the new system. This will also allow us to immerse ourselves in the community and perform cultural exchange.

I am using most of my annual leave and covering flights myself, and I need your help in raising funds that go directly to the charity.

Thank you in advance for your help and support!
