Following on from my spectacular success in the 2010 Ramshackle Rally to Krakow in Poland which my team won, I'm a sucker for punishment and am driving a £150 car from London to Split in Croatia in the 2012 Ramshackle Rally to raise money for the Intensive Care Unit at Leicester General Hospital where my Father passed away after a long illness

I've put together a new team, bought a battered Peugeot 306XR car for £150 off eBay ('N' plate - some 17 years old) and am aiming to drive it half way across Europe in 4 days.

Fully independent multi-link rear suspension, adaptable climate control and 4 wheel drive are just 3 of the features that our car doesn't have.

The route will take us through france, across Switzerland, up the 9,000ft Stelvio pass, through part of Italy, the Czech Republic and onwards via Slovakia to Split in Croatia where we will arrive on Monday 3rd September all being well - a total of 1,600 miles in a battered old banger.

I'm aiming to raise £4,000 this year (I managed £3.5K last time out) so can I ask you to please dig deep and donate whatever you can afford - even a few pounds will make a difference and could save a life. Thank you for your support.
