Story
To celebrate Andrew reaching 60, we are walking the Inca Trail into Machu Picchu. To make it worthwhile we are raising money for LandAid because we want to help end youth homelessness.
LandAid, which is the official charity of the property industry, help provide safe, suitable and affordable accommodation which brings young people out of the cycle of homelessness and gives them a positive future.
Every day of every year, thousands of young people in the UK find themselves homeless. Many are forced to sleep in overcrowded hostels, on the sofas of people they barely know, or worse still, on the streets.
Yet homelessness isn't inevitable. It's a problem that can be solved.
With the right support services and secure accommodation, we can prevent young people from becoming homeless and protect those who are.
Due to our mutual link to the property industry we are aiming to raise £10,000 which will provide funds for two brand new kitchens and all new soft furnishings and white goods for two properties, for four young people facing homelessness. All of which are crucial steps in making a house feel like a home. We would be really grateful for any contribution towards this total.
We are paying for all our own costs of this trip, 100% of donations will go towards LandAid and aiding their mission to end youth homelessness.
