Story

“All of us who are privileged enough to be healthy, to be alive, to have education and to have influence, our role is not to do small things and to solve small problems. The only way that we can justify privilege is by solving the world’s biggest problems, and by doing hard things.” - Fred Swaniker, African Leadership Group...

I am cycling the 2023 Ride Africa through Kenya's national parks with 60 riders, including my nephew Peter and son Adam. Fabulous, once-in-a-lifetime experience... but will it be hard? 100km+ a day... on mountain bikes... riding uphill... on gravel and sand... in 43C heat. Yep, it'll be hard!

Child.org is a great cause, delivering life-saving work in maternal and child health. £13 can pay for one antenatal care session and a baby package (which includes a baby weighing bag, hat and leso to carry the baby); £53 can support a women to attend all 4 antenatal care sessions recommended by the WHO. Both are life-changing donations.

Not only will all this money go to this cause, with Microsoft's generous 1:1 matching, your money will have twice the impact. Please donate if you can... let's make a difference.
