UTMB PTL® (Petite Trotte à Léon), · 26 August 2019
Dear friends and family, thanks so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 26th August, I am attempting one of the hardest races in the world - the PTL, a 200 mile mountain route around the high Alps to help raise funds for the extension of a school in South Africa, built by Lionsraw.
The PTL is self supported and has to be completed in 6 days of almost non-stop climbing (82,000ft) and running.
This years highlights.

As a founding trustee, Lionraw is a charity close to my heart. Lionsraw organises football fans to make a difference and during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, they built an orphanage and a school. They built 2 classrooms for 50 learners. The BBC even covered it on Match of The Day https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=_t97Yj3Tr5Y
Since then, Lionsraw have extended the school which now educates and daily feeds (for free) 700 pupils. Next Easter another army of volunteers are returning to SA to extend the school facilities and refurb the orphanage. Im running to raise funds for this project.
Please note - Lionsraw is a volunteer organisation with no employees, salaries or costs. Volunteers are self supported and 100% of all monies raised goes directly to the bricks /mortar and the feeding programme.
Thanks very much,
Andrew
